Growing veggies in my (leaded?) urban soil
Most everyone will see this title and say that they live in a new development and lead in paint chips and old houses back east or out west in old neighborhoods doesn’t affect them or their kids but I beg to differ with you.
Just because you live in a nice new neighborhood doesn’t mean that your soil is not contaminated by heavy metals, or chemicals.
We should always be aware of what went on before we get to our new home. The former owners may have use toxins on the yard or garden or your land was probably farm land if it is in a development and the possibility of toxic fertilizers with heavy metals and organophosphates is very real.
Using humates can be very beneficial for our soil and for people. Please join us for this new podcast.
